Cricket fixture generator

Round robin, groups or a knockout for your cricket league — with a points table that computes net run rate the way the ICC does, not the way most spreadsheets do. Results record each innings' runs and overs; overs are counted in balls (19.4 is 19 overs 4 balls, never 19.4 of anything); and a side bowled out is charged its full quota of overs, which is the detail almost every homemade NRR gets wrong. The cricket preset applies 2-1-0 points with ties broken on wins, then net run rate, then head-to-head — set 20 overs for a T20 league or 50 for one-day, or your own.

What you get

  • •Real net run rate: (runs ÷ overs faced) − (runs conceded ÷ overs bowled), exact arithmetic
  • •A side bowled out counts as its full quota of overs — the classic NRR bug, done right
  • •Overs entered as cricket counts them: 19.4 is 19 overs and 4 balls
  • •2-1-0 points with ties on wins then NRR, or configure your own
  • •Open registration, approve teams, enter results, share the live table

Frequently asked questions

How is net run rate calculated?
Runs scored per over faced, minus runs conceded per over bowled, across the whole league stage. Overs are handled in balls so 19.4 means 118 balls, and the arithmetic is exact — two genuinely equal rates compare equal.
What happens to NRR when a team is bowled out?
It is charged the full quota of overs it was entitled to, however few it actually faced — a side skittled for 100 in 12 overs of a T20 is rated as 100 off 20. That is the official rule, and skipping it is the most common NRR mistake.
How are ties in the table broken?
The cricket preset uses the ICC group-stage order: points, then wins, then net run rate, then head-to-head. You can reorder or change any of it per tournament.
Can a cricket match be a tie or no-result?
Yes — a drawn scoreline is worth 1 point to each side under the preset. A match with no recorded innings (an abandonment entered as a tie, or a forfeit) counts for points but contributes nothing to net run rate, which is the honest treatment.
