How anonymous voting works here
Most “anonymous” polls simply decline to show you who voted. This one cannot show you, because the link is never recorded. When you vote, two rows are written to two different tables: one says this account has voted in this poll, the other says someone chose this option. They share no id and no timestamp — only the date — so there is nothing to join them on. The poll owner sees totals. So do we. Nobody sees the pairing.
The trade is deliberate: because we don’t keep the link, a vote cannot be changed or withdrawn once it’s cast, and we can’t investigate an individual vote if you ask us to. Guarantees that survive contact with support requests are the only kind worth advertising.
How to create a poll

- Are the votes really anonymous?
- Yes. We store who voted and what was voted for in two separate tables, with no shared id and no timestamp linking them — only the date. That means the poll owner cannot see how you voted, and neither can we.
- Do people need an account to vote?
- Voting needs a free account, because that is what lets us guarantee one vote per person. Viewing a poll needs nothing at all.
- Can someone vote twice?
- No. One vote per person per poll is a database constraint, not a check that could be raced or bypassed by clearing cookies or opening a private window.
- Who can see the results?
- Only you, until you publish them. Flip results to public whenever you like and anyone with the link sees the tally.
- Can I customise how the poll looks?
- Every poll picks from a set of designed themes. Paid plans also unlock your own colours, a choice of fonts, and a header image.
